Robbery Foiled After Citizens Remove Keys From Getaway Car | C & S Locksmiths
Two Gold Coast men foiled a robbery in progress during a late night visit to a service station.
The Good Samaritans, James Ross-Munroe and Kane Wiblen, noticed that the assailant left their keys in the getaway during an attempt to rob a fast food restaurant.
Instead of keeping their distance and calling the police the pair decided to record the license plate and then in a stroke of genius one of the men realized the car was unlocked and reached in to remove the keys from the ignition.
Once the assailants returned to their getaway car it was not long until they found out the keys were missing and that they would have to attempt escape on foot.
However the two Good Samaritan citizens were not done yet as they proceeded to chase down the thieves on foot.
Unfortunately the crooks did manage to get away on foot but police did have a man in custody for the crime according to last known reports.
It is never a good idea to get mixed into the middle of a robbery in progress but if it were not for the quick action and video taken by the two Good Samaritans than it is more than likely the thieves would have gotten away without a trace.
However it is always a good idea to be prepared for any situation and to have the proper security to ward off thieves.
